Nipissing District Paramedic Services is working with the Ministry of Health, local hospitals, and community services to promote sustainable independence within your home.

    • Contribute to the overall quality of life for people living at home
    • Provide education to people regarding their health
    • Help bridge health service delivery gaps in the community
    • Keep patients where they want to be: at home and out of the hospital

Communuity Paramedicine & Geriatric Community Outreach Program Referrals:

Does the person requiring care live in any of the following communities: North Bay, West Nipissing (i.e., Sturgeon Falls, Field, Verner, River Valley etc.), East Ferris, Temagami, Bonfield, South Algonquin, Papineau-Cameron, Mattawa, Chisholm, Calvin, Mattawan, Marten River, Tilden Lake, Redbridge, Thorne, Eldee and Phelps?

You may still be able to receive services from the Community Paramedicine/GCOP Programs, please contact the intake line at 705-474-5750 to inquire.

Are you considered an allied health provider (i.e., doctor, dentist, therapist, pharmacist, fire department, case worker, etc.)?

Common questions about Community Paramedicine Services

All of our services are free to the patient.

Clients are selected for our services based on referrals from the hospital, family physicians, nurse practitioners, other community services and paramedics following ambulance transports. 

There is no travel required; we come to you!

We require all current and past health information. We also obtain consent to share specific information with other Care Providers and Community Partners and Services to ensure robust coordination of care.
