We help people to put an affordable roof over their heads, we make sure an ambulance takes you to hospital when needed, we help you find affordable childcare so that you can go to work to support your family, and we’re there when a little support can make a world of difference during a rough patch in your life.
On average, 1122 children in the Nipissing District receive subsidized child care per month.
DNSSAB supports 23 different non-profit housing providers offering a total of 2367 units.
Last year, Ontario Works assisted 3813 individuals & families on average each month.
Last year, Nipissing District Paramedics responded to 17,106 ambulance calls.

The District of Nipissing has a population of approximately 85,000 people covering 17,000 square kilometers. This includes 11 municipalities, two First Nations and two unorganized areas; Nipissing North and Nipissing South.
Helps people become self-sufficient through temporary financial assistance and employment programs.
Promotes access to high quality early learning, child care and support for families.
Funds and administers social housing programs and works to prevent homelessness.
Provides land ambulance services and administers the supply and use of Public Access Defibrillators.
