The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board (DNSSAB) is governed by a Board of Directors representing municipalities and the Territory Without Municipal Organization (TWOMO) across Nipissing District.
The Board consists of 12 members appointed in accordance with provincial legislation and represents six municipal areas as well as the Territory Without Municipal Organization. Following each municipal election, participating municipalities determine their representatives through the legislated nomination and appointment process. Representation on the Board is established in accordance with the District Social Services Administration Boards (DSSAB) Act and its regulations.
Board members are responsible for providing governance, strategic direction, accountability, and oversight for the organization. In carrying out these responsibilities, the Board exercises the powers, duties, and responsibilities assigned through applicable legislation, the DSSAB Act, and the Board's Procedural By-Laws.
